Material Microstructures and Properties Lab

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Student

Zhen Sang

Ph.D. Student

sangzhen94@tamu.edu

Zhen received his B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Qingdao University and M.S. degree in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering at TAMU. He joined the Thomas Group in Spring 2020 and is working on laser-induced projectile impact test (LIPIT) project using dynamic covalent polymer networks. His research of interest includes novel materials under extreme condition (high strain rate deformations) as well as structure, dynamics, mechanics of polymer networks.

Hongkyu Eoh

Ph.D. Student

ehhgky@tamu.edu

Hongkyu Eoh joined Thomas group as a Ph.D. student in August 2020. He is from Seoul, South Korea and received his B.S. and M.S. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Yonsei University, where he focused on the photonic crystal using the self-assembled block copolymer. His main research interest is on the laser-induced projectile impact test (LIPIT). He is also interested in the in-situ slice view technique.
